We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You will be away Monday to Friday - 4 nights out every week. Responsibilities Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, primarily flatbed lorries, for long-distance deliveries. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, adhering to all regulations and safety standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, promoting safety at all times. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally. Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record. 1 YEARS experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is essential. Familiarity with flatbed lorries is highly desirable. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during long shifts. A commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
