Overview: Working closely with our client, an established mould toolmaker and injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join their team and support continued business growth. Remit: This position will suit a technically biased Sales Manager or Business Development Manager with good knowledge of injection mould tooling and manufacturing The successful candidate will join the company as part of their senior management team his is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional with strong plastics industry background to join a forward-thinking company during an exciting time of growth for the business Role: As Technical Sales Manager you will work closely with customers to help turn their product ideas into reality In the role of Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing the pipeline of new enquiries while forging strong business relationships with existing customers Working closely with the Works Director and Design Manager you will build a deep understanding of customer requirements through the product design and toolmaking journey while promoting the companys injection moulding capabilities to manufacture the finished product Maintains frequent contact with top customers and minimises churn by monitoring performance vs. budgeted expectations Builds an understanding of each customers project lifetime, and ensures the company is positioned to serve all future customer needs Proactively seeks new business opportunities through direct outreach methods including telephone, email and postal marketing Maintains pipeline of new business quotations. Uses feedback to tweak company sales approach, market positioning and/or service offering Responds in a timely manner to RFQs, builds an understanding of customer needs to articulate the project to the Design Team Manages the relationships with 3 rd party marketing companies including website, social media and PPC campaigns Carrys out reviews of marketing spend to ensure return on investment Regularly attends relevant trade shows to stay on top of market developments Responsible for representing the company and building our reputation Frequently reviews pricing to grow Margin and minimise the impact of inflation Uses pricing as a tool to cleanse low performing or complex customers/products Experience Requirements: 5 years+ experience in Sales / Account Management / Business Development for a manufacturing business, preferably within injection moulding / plastics Competent at managing a pipeline of new business opportunities and quotations Adept at building relationships and offering excellent service Uses data to make decisions and has experience building costs and quotations to ensure company margin goals are hit TPBN1_UKTJ
