The Opportunity: We are looking for a Credit Controller Team Leader to lead a small team of three credit controllers, overseeing their daily activities and ensuring smooth operations. You will be the first point of contact for your team, leading by example, and supporting them to achieve departmental goals. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership : Act as the first point of contact for your team of three credit controllers, providing guidance, support, and direction. Daily Meetings : Attend and lead daily meetings to ensure the team is on track to meet targets, resolve any issues, and maintain productivity. Customer Account Queries : Handle incoming calls and emails regarding customer account queries, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally. Reporting & Analysis : Work through accounting reports to monitor outstanding debts, track payments, and ensure effective cash flow management. Collaboration with Finance Companies : Work closely with external finance companies to resolve any outstanding queries and ensure smooth communication. Debt Recovery : Oversee the resolution of overdue accounts, working proactively to minimise bad debt. Target Management : Support and motivate the team to achieve both individual and team targets, reporting progress to senior management. Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement improvements in processes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Key Requirements: Proven experience in credit control , with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle incoming customer queries and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner. Strong analytical skills, with experience working through accounting reports and identifying trends. Proven ability to work with external finance companies and stakeholders. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. A positive, proactive attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement.
