Workman's Recruitment is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join a leading national supported housing provider, who primarily cater to individuals with physical, mental, or learning disabilities. You will provide technical surveying expertise to ensure all property assets, whether owned or leased, are maintained to the highest standard. This role is essential in fostering a high-quality living environment for tenants, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering projects efficiently. Location: Home-based with frequent travel to the Manchester office, you will cover the East Midlands area, including Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire. Responsibilities: Manage asset maintenance through stock condition surveys, maintenance planning, technical advice, and project delivery within budget and policy. Ensure quality assurance by managing contractors, specifying works, conducting quality checks, and delivering high-quality, timely surveying services within budget. Oversee financial management by delivering planned works within budget, coordinating with teams, ensuring accurate coding, and verifying pricing. Prepare schedules of dilapidations, specifications, and work plans for improvements, ensuring compliance with regulations and CDM standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and consultants, while managing negotiations on contractual and financial matters. Requirements: BSc (Hons) in Building related discipline (not essential, but desirable) Minimum HND/C in a Building related discipline Must have own vehicle Demonstrates ability to prepare and interpret numerical data and explain to others Desired Skillset: Skilled in conducting technical surveying, building, and maintenance inspections, with knowledge of maintenance and construction procedures. Self-motivated, able to organise and manage workload with minimal supervision. Proficient in using computer databases and Microsoft Office. Knowledgeable of CDM regulations and health and safety requirements for contract works. Experienced in financial control and budget management to ensure successful delivery of planned works.
