This role does not offer sponsorship.As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Outdoor Education Teacher to join our close-knit team at Acorn Park School located in Norwich.Who we are looking forWe are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Outdoor Education Teacher to lead and support outdoor learning experiences for students. This role involves designing and delivering experiential learning programs that promote environmental awareness, leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a skilled outdoor leader, and an advocate for learning beyond the classroom.Key Task Areas and ResponsibilitiesTo plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the Schools Curriculum framework and related policiesTo monitor, record and report on student progressTo contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development PlanTo promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational and moral development of the studentsTo contribute to the development and implementation of an environment and programme of learning for the individual student to ensure progression at an appropriate and satisfactory rateTo take responsibility for coordinating the teaching, development, assessment, recording and reporting of subjects and areas of learning across key stages as agreed with the HeadteacherTo devise, implement and review individual education plans, individual behaviour plans and other relevant individual plans in conjunction with other staffQualifications RequiredGCSE English C/4+GCSE Maths C/4+DegreeAbout usAcorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupils homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk. On site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
