What youll be doing: As the Deputy Leader, youll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our residential services, ensuring that high-quality care and support are provided to young people. Youll lead and coordinate a team of support workers, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Due to the nature of the role, youll be required to be flexible and be on-call to support and address any emergencies outside of regular working hours. Additionally, the shift pattern for this position is 2 days on and 4 days off. On a day-to-day basis: Youll assist the Manager in overseeing the operations of the care home, while providing leadership and support to the care team, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently maintained. Through the development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, youll foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for both children and staff. Youll support staff development through training, supervision, and performance reviews, as well as participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members. While ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, youll maintain accurate records and reports. Your experience and qualifications: Existing Deputy Manager or Team Leader experience within a residential or social care setting. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergencies and confident in challenging behaviour and implementing physical intervention, should the need arise. Flexibility to work a shift pattern of 2 days on and 4 days off, including on-call responsibilities. What we offer: Competitive salary of up to 36,500 per annum, based on experience. Company pension.
