The Role To ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Legal Compliance procedures are followed. Operating a fleet of vehicles from 3 locations over 7 days and 7 nights per week. Sourcing additional loads from third parties. Managing the activities and resources to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives. To ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are carried out and maintained, addressing any issues where necessary. Planning of loads, allocation of drivers and quoting for work. Requirements Customer focused. Compliance and Tachograph knowledge. Proven experience within a fast-paced logistics environment Ability to communicate at all levels. Proactive decision maker and an organised/effective planner. Ability to effectively handle conflict situations Be able to build a network of allies and subcontractors Have a can-do attitude Be able to be remain calm when working under pressure PC and TMS systems literate Own transport required owing to location.
