More specifically:Pre ContractOn Site pre-measurementsProduction of bills of quantities and/or MTC cost plans for clientsDevelopment of supply chain packagesProduction of labour schedules for operations teamSpecialist material procurementPost ContractProcurement and appointment of subcontractors on designated subcontract conditionsPreparation of the forecasting and reporting of costs against value to ensure that it is in line with the contract profitability forecastMeasurement, preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts in line with the contract schedule of ratesAdministration, auditing and analysis of subcontractor accounts along with effective commercial controlIdentification of added value opportunities within measurement and contract conditions Prepare subcontractor payments accurately and in a timely mannerWork in accordance with strict client KPIs, in particular time, cost and qualityGenerate any early warning notices and compensation events to the client if requiredYou will haveTo be successful as an Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will be an experienced QS with construction/FM experience and a healthy mix of the following:Essential CriteriaPossess either a Third Level Qualification in Quantity Surveying or demonstrate a level of experience obtained working in a comparable roleDemonstrate the ability to develop a strong client and supply chain relationship by working in a collaborative mannerPossess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Information Technology in generalValid driving licenceDesirable CriteriaHave knowledge of construction practices that can be used on site to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving and value engineering measuresExperience of working on MTC contractsExperience of using the Mechanical PSA/National Schedule of RatesExperience of QS software such as BarcellosYou will getAs a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor you will enjoy a competitive salary of 55K-60K + BenefitsPerformance based annual bonusEmployer Pension ContributionMembership of relevant Institutions & Professional BodiesLife AssuranceHealth Cash PlansDiscounted Gym MembershipCar AllowanceCycle to Work SchemeYou can applyTo Mechanical QS by applying here (recommended), or by sending a CV to anthony@macstaff.co.uk
