This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals in logistics, art crating, or woodworking to apply their craftsmanship in a highly specialised environment.The role involves constructing bespoke wooden crates to protect valuable artwork and museum objects during transport. This hands-on position requires precision, attention to detail, and expertise in woodworking, machining, and protective packaging design. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available.Key Responsibilities:Construct high-quality custom crates tailored to specific artwork and museum objects.Read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets to ensure precision.Design and adapt crating structures to provide optimal protection against pressure and handling risks.Operate woodworking machinery, including routers, saws, and planers.Fit and secure crate components, support structures, and mounting materials.Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards during crating and packing processes.Collaborate with teams to determine appropriate materials for crate construction.Handle delicate and high-value items with extreme care.Maintain workshop tools and equipment in proper working condition.Assist in packing, handling, and installation of museum objects and artwork.Requirements:Minimum 3 years' experience in art crating, woodworking, or fine art logistics.Proven expertise in handling, packing, and installing museum objects and artwork.Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks, including lifting and assembly.Skilled in using woodworking and machining equipment.Ability to interpret technical drawings with accuracy.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Understanding of safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.Must have a clear police record for visa purposes.
