JMC Aviation are working with a Maintenance Repair Organisation company based near Cardiff, looking to recruit a new Safety Management Systems Manager to join their team.This company are global leaders in Aircraft Storage, Disassembly and Storage services.The role has arisen as the company is growing on the maintenance arm of their business, while welcoming the introduction of a new hangar. The team are dedicated to delivering exceptional maintenance services, ensuring value at every step for some of the world's leading lessors and airlines.In a varied and dynamic environment, the company work with a diverse range of aircraft types and requirements - from short-term storage, complex modification packages, interior reconfigurations, to end-of-lease maintenance activities.This is a Permanent Position based near Cardiff, working Mon - Friday, 38.5 hours per week Salary and Benefits: - Competitive Salary plus 10% bonus- Annual Leave 25 days plus bank holidays- Medical Care- Company Pension Plan- Overtime availableThe Role: The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the CMM, conducting Investigations into Safety Events in a Maintenance and Dis Assembly Operations environment. Conducting audits in order to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures and safety policies. Other duties involve: - Conduct Safety & Compliance Investigations & Audits as required- Daily administration & monitoring of the Occurrence Reporting System- Report any findings or concerns to the Accountable Manager / NP's- Compile submissions for MOE revisions as required.- Conducting Investigations in support of the SMS Programme- Monitoring Supplier / Sub-Contractor performance- Day to day management of the Company SMS- Assist with the production & implementation of the Part 145 audit programme- Control of the company authorisation systemIn order to be successful in this role the Safety Management Systems Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:- Experienced and competent Investigator- Qualified Auditor experienced in aviation / engineering environment- Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and its practical application- Detailed knowledge of Part 66 requirements- Knowledge & experience of H&S requirements- Current in Safety Training (Including Human Factors), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS) training- Passport enabling travel to locations as required as part of the role- Full, clean UK driving license- Eligible to qualify for and hold UK airside security pass- Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) etc.If you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.Please note that due to the high level of applicants we will only be contacting shortlisted candidates regarding this role.For this opportunity JMC Aviation Ltd is acting as an employment agency.
