Our revolutionary cold corrugator is a world first that is truly disruptive.Chief Operating Officer (COO) overviewThis is a new key appointment at the point of take-off for an industry disrupting early-stage company.It is a rare opportunity for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and an eye for detail.You will be naturally open and collaborative, building relationships at all levels in the business.You will be comfortable being hands-on at first whilst you build your team round you.As COO you will be second in command and work closely with the CEO to set the companys strategic goals and translate them into actionable plans, accelerating the pace of implementation. There is an opportunity to be viewed as the possible successor to the CEO.You will work in the business and run the day-to-day operations to achieve the companys strategic goals and ensure the safe operation of the business in all functions.The company is virtual so you will be based at home, meeting with Interpac team members regularly in person. You may be invited to attend Board meetings to report on progress and act in an advisory capacity.There will be a requirement to travel abroad to visit suppliers and customers internationally.Experience:You will have extensive experience in managing operations and teams in an engineering or related environment. COO Duties:Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability.Build an operations team by recruiting high quality people to deliver the strategic goals.Develop long-term customer relationships founded on delivery and trust.Develop and control operational budgets to ensure that the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.Control and reduce costs of manufacture, installation, spares and maintenance.Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with our manufacturer in Germany.Develop a road map to improve equipment performance, reliability, ease of operation and faster installation.Control scheduling to ensure smooth running of all aspects of installations at customer sites including: transport, installation, commissioning, acceptance tests, documentation and training.Set up and oversee a consumables and spares supply system that meets customer demands for speed and consistency.Ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards and complies with all conformity regulations.Maintain documentation of IP and know-how. Safeguard the companies IP assets and knowledge.Oversee the implementation of occupational health and safety standards in the UK and when employees are working abroad.Remuneration:A package will be offered to attract the right level of candidate and will consist of:Salary commensurate with experience (range between 100,000 to 120,000).Pension.Private medical insurance.Car allowance.Bonus for deliverables up to 20% of salary.Eligible to join the company share option scheme after the first year of employment.
