Job Description

We are Content Rocket an international film distribution company that publishes films across YouTube, Amazon, television, and other digital platforms. Our team is small, but our reach is mighty, and we are in need of a Channel Manager to join our stellar Audience Development division. This is a commercial role and will report to the Audience Development Manager.This person will have at least a couple of years experience in a similar role and be confident to hit the ground running. We are looking for someone who is self motivated, wants to help us grow and is continually looking to improve the way things are done.As you will be working directly on our channels; written and verbal communication competencies are essential. Fluency in English is crucial. Fluency in other languages is a bonus.This position will be fully remote with flexible working. You will also be eligible for a performance based bonus as well as sick pay.Duties:Managing day to day publishing on our channels; writing copy, tags, community management, all other channel best practicesReviewing and feeding into channel strategy on new and existing channelsAnalysis of channel performance; suggesting improvements and creating reports where necessaryLiaising with Acquisitions team to ensure the channels have a healthy pipeline of contentWorking with our Delivery and Copyright teams to ensure content is ready in the channels, any copyright & monetisation issues are resolved before releaseMaintaining channel schedules and any admin related to the roleCreation of thumbnail artwork if neededPerforming quality control and analysis on channels and content when neededCurating content and crafting community posts to increase engagement and build communityBefore you apply for this role, please check that you fit the requirements below.RequirementsExperience:You will have worked with YouTube, Facebook and/or other streaming platforms in a channel management capacity (2 years YouTube experience essential)You have hands on experience with writing copy, scheduling videos and other channel management activitiesYou are confident navigating your way round a content schedule and planning out future publishingYou have spent time working in a team environment, working across disciplines with moving deadlines and differing prioritiesYou have knowledge of analytics, interpreting numbers and trends to inform future channel strategyYou have an editorial eye, ability to differentiate what content you think will perform well in the digital space and for certain audiencesYou are happy to get stuck in, test and trial new ideas and initiativesExpert knowledge in YouTube Optimisation and video SEOWorking with both longform and shortform video contentMinimum 2 years experience in a similar roleFluency in EnglishQualities:Proactive and prepared for work in a fast-paced environment with moving deadlinesAttention-to-detail; we are publishing, at scale, directly to consumers globally and there is no room for errorThe ability to prioritise tasks and ask for guidance if you are unsureSoftware and Tool Proficiency: Please note, we do not expect you to have experience of all these exact tools, but we do expect you to have some experience with similar onesProject management tools before such as Monday.comDigital media software such as Adobe Creative SuiteDigital platforms such as YouTube and FacebookMicrosoft Office/Google suiteSalary: 25-35k based on experienceWe have a small, friendly team based in the UK and Latin America, and are looking for someone who will be proactive, take ownership of these processes and really carve out their place in the business.If you think this could be you - please apply to join our growing team, we would love to hear from you.
