We want you to grow your career in a way that suits you, whether that is making the best of your skills in a role you enjoy, or developing new skills as you progress with our company.We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial services for the Surrey Term Maintenance Contract, ensuring value for money for our client and sustainable shareholder value. You will play a key role in contract management, cost control, procurement, and stakeholder engagement, working in a collaborative environment where innovation and best practices are encouraged.Purpose of the Role & Your Responsibilities:Lead commercial management of the Surrey Term Maintenance ContractOversee contract administration, including the TPC 2008 Term Service ContractsMonitor and control workstream costs, subcontractor applications, and budgetsPrepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accountsIdentify and manage project risksManage procurement processes, including subcontractor and supplier negotiationsEnsure compliance with contractual, legal, and financial requirementsProduce and present financial reports and forecastsWork closely with stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project deliverySupport continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in commercial managementEnsure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld at all timesFormal Qualifications Desired:A Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experienceExperience in highways, civil engineering, or infrastructure contractsUnderstanding of Term Maintenance Contracts and NEC contract conditionsSkills Required:Strong commercial awareness and contract management expertiseExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage subcontract accounts and procurement processesExperience with cost management systems (such as SAP)Analytical mindset with attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesExperience Required:Knowledge of cost management systems and financial reportingUnderstanding of Highways Maintenance and measurement principles (MCHW)Previous experience with subcontractor engagement and supplier negotiationsAwarded Investors in People Silver, a member of the 5% Club and recognised as an Investor in Diversity.
