Mount Olivet United Methodist Church CustodianDate : Mar 27, 2025 Position : Church Custodian Job Summary : The church custodian is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church. This includes cleaning the sanctuary, social hall, bathrooms, children’s wing, offices, and other rooms throughout the church. The custodian will also be responsible for cleaning the building following special events or rental engagements. The custodian is supervised by the pastor and Staff Parish-Relations Team. Responsibilities : Dust and vacuum sanctuary, offices, children’s room, and other areas throughout the church. Mop tile floors and hallways as needed. Clean window seals. Clean and sanitize bathrooms. Remove trash from the sanctuary, all bathrooms, offices, and used rooms. Other cleaning assignments as needed. Requirements : High school diploma or GED. Previous experience working as a custodian or providing janitorial services preferred. Ability to work independently and to work as a team member. Attention to detail and a passion for their work. Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed based upon church needs. Must be able to pass a background check and complete church child safety course. Physical Demands : The custodian is expected to lift heavy objects and have the ability to perform the demands of the job, such as standing, reaching, stretching, and doing repetitive motions. Salary : Hourly rate of $15/hour, 5-10 hours per week.#J-18808-Ljbffr
