We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex and have 414 beds having just added an extra 55 with the opening of our new luxury flagship home in central Worthing named The Poets. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night, for long and short-term stays. We are recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Blatchington Manor, our specialist dementia residential home in Seaford. Hours : 30 hours per week Reporting into the Head Chef/Chef, the purpose of this role is to assist in maintaining a quality kitchen and catering service for our residents. Job ResponsibilitiesTo wash and dry all meal time crockery and cutlery using equipment and facilities provided. Cleaning of all food trays following use on their return to the kitchen. To wash and dry all bowls, trays, saucepans etc. as used by the Head Chef/Chef promptly and efficiently. Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately. Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking porridge and helping to prepare salads and desserts. Preparing breakfast.
