6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACTROLE OVERVIEW:As the Automation Technician you will support the automation department, and wider technical teams, in ensuring all automated show elements are prepared and maintained in a safe and consistent manner, ensuring systems remain compliant with relevant statutory regulations and industry best practice. In addition, you will operate the automated show systems during performances, on rotation.ABOUT YOU:A minimum of two years experience in large scale technical entertainment and/or experience in stage engineering and show control systemsA desire to learn and develop new skills for both personal and professional developmentAn understanding of control and maintenance of automated machinery that can cause harm to others if maintained and operated incorrectlyWorking knowledge of current and relevant Health and Safety practicesAble to prioritize, multi-task, and work quickly and accurately with attention to detail, maintaining a positive attitude in fast-paced environmentsComfortable working under pressure, both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and organisational skillsTake a calm and practical approach to technical troubleshootingAbility to work at height and to climb using fall arrest systemsConfident working with hand and power toolsStrong all-round technical theatre backgroundProficient with IT software including Microsoft office, especially Excel and WordDESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL: Strong working knowledge of show automation systems including, but not limited to, console operation and programming, axis testing, drive repair etcExperience in stage management rolesRigging experience, including familiarity with fall protection systemsFamiliarity with and ability to interpret Technical Drawings e.g. AutoCADFirst Aid at WorkIPAF 3A, 3B and 1B certificationWHATS IN IT FOR YOU:The opportunity to be part of a revolutionary concertA competitive salary and benefits packageComplimentary show ticketsHOW TO APPLY:Please read the full job description attached and if youre confident you meet the criteria, please apply with an up-to-date CV to jobs@abbavoyage.com along with a few paragraphs (no more than 500 words) outlining why the role interests you and what you will bring to ABBA Voyage.
