Your remit will cover the full spectrum of procurement activities from supplier relationship management and contract negotiation to strategic planning and risk mitigation.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute robust procurement strategies aligned with forecasted demand and long-term business objectivesNegotiate contracts with beef suppliers across the UK and Europe to secure high-quality, cost-effective, and consistent supplyMonitor global beef market trends and pricing dynamics to inform procurement decisions and maintain competitive advantageCollaborate with stakeholders across supply chain, operations, and quality assurance to ensure seamless product flow and supplier complianceIdentify risks across the beef supply chain and implement contingency plans to safeguard product availabilitySupport sustainability goals by aligning procurement practices with responsible sourcing standards and environmental targetsWork with internal teams and suppliers to resolve product claims and drive continuous improvement in quality and service levelsWere looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with a strong track record in the protein or beef supply chain ideally within the foodservice, farming, retail or processing sectors.
