Technical Adhesives Expert - Manufacturing/Customer SupportWe are seeking a Technical Adhesives Expert to provide specialised support and troubleshooting to customer processes and product applications . The ideal candidate will excel at troubleshooting adhesive applications directly on customer production lines, optimising manufacturing processes, and implementing effective bonding solutions in industrial settings.The candidate will ideally be based around the Midlands area, though other locations can also be considered (with frequent travel to various customer sites).Key ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Manufacturing SupportVisit customer manufacturing facilities to diagnose and resolve adhesive-related production issuesConduct on-site assessments of production lines to identify improvement opportunitiesProvide hands-on technical support during implementation of new adhesive systemsTroubleshoot bonding failures in real-time production environmentsProcess OptimisationAnalyse manufacturing processes to improve adhesive application efficiencyRecommend equipment modifications or process adjustments to enhance production qualitySupport customers during production ramp-up and new product introductionsDevelop solutions that reduce waste and increase manufacturing throughputTechnical ConsultationAdvise manufacturing teams on adhesive selection for specific production requirementsProvide guidance on surface preparation, application methods, and curing processesHelp manufacturing clients meet industry standards and quality requirementsSupport production trials of new adhesive technologiesTraining & ImplementationDeliver on-site training for manufacturing personnel on proper adhesive handling techniquesCreate documentation specific to manufacturing applications and equipmentProvide technical support during production line changeovers and maintenanceRequirementsExperience with adhesives in manufacturing/production environmentsUnderstanding of industrial assembly processes and manufacturing equipmentKnowledge of adhesive application systems used in production settingsAbility to troubleshoot issues in active manufacturing environmentsStrong problem-solving skills in high-pressure production situationsStrong interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel frequently to manufacturing sites, sometimes on short notice
