Goodman Precision Engineering Ltd, based in Milton Keynes, manufacture high precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast in wide range of metals and plastics. We supply across a variety of industry sectors including Motor sport, Automotive and Industrial. At our core, is an established customer base within F1 and the specialist automotive industries, where we low volume and short lead times are our specialty.We are now offering an exciting opportunity for two experienced CNC Miller Setter Operators to join our team. We are offering one position within our early shift and one with our late shift.The successful candidate will hold an integral role within the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing team. Setting and operating a range of machining centres across the facility.Experience and competencies:An experienced Setter/Operator across a range of 3 and 5 axis CNC machine centres, ideally within a fast-paced precision engineering and prototype environmentA good working knowledge of either Heidenhein, Hurco or Mazatrol controlsGood understanding of Engineering drawings and be proficient in carrying out in-process dimensional and visual checks using the appropriate measurement equipmentExperienced in machining a wide range of metals and plasticsGood communication with ability to relay clear and concise feedback to operators and engineersWork efficiently to deadlinesAbility and willingness to mind multiple machines when requiredConfidently work with a level of autonomy and problem solvePositions are available on two shifts:Early - 06:00 - 14:30, Monday Thursday. 06:00 - 13:30, FridayLate - 14:00 - 22:00, Monday Thursday. 13:00 - 20:00, FridayCompetitive salary plus late shift premium.To apply, please submit CV and a brief covering note expressing desired salary and shift preference.
