Element has an excellent opportunity for Safety, Health and Environment Business Partner to support its Connected Technologies business and its locations in the United Kingdom and Germany.As a member of the divisional leadership team, this position will partner with local management teams to support the implementation of the Element SHE program.This position reports directly Divisional Director, working closely with the EMEAA SHE Director and will be based in either the North West or West Midlands.It is anticipated that this role will require frequent travel to Element locations across the UK with periodic travel to Germany.Core ResponsibilitiesSupporting divisional leadership to:Integrate SHE program into daily operationsUnderstand their role and responsibilities and ensure appropriate resources are in placeProvide expertise, guidance and critical challengeSupport creation, monitor and report on progress against improvement plansCoach leadership and operations teamsSupports documentation of annual improvement plansSupport local SHE Managers and focal pointsFacilitate completion of audits and management system reviewsEnsure locations achieve compliance with applicable regulatory and Element SHE program requirementsAssess opportunities for improvement, shares best practice across ElementCommunicate and engage effectively across all levelsMonitors and reports on improvement plan progress to Divisional Director and SHE Business Unit DirectorSkills / QualificationsDegree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management, Risk Management or Occupational Safety related subject, or other related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experienceThe candidate must have a strong understanding of country/ local safety, health and environmental laws and legislationMinimum experience level: 2-4 years experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer testing specifications, design specifications, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to calculate figures, statistics and amounts such as safety and health data as well as exposure limitsAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions, data and details furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formMust have valid Drivers License with zero or low endorsementsExposure to country safety standards, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and environmental complianceElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
