We are currently supporting our client, a Local Authority based in the East Midlands, who are currently recruiting for a Planned Maintenance Surveyor on a two month temporary contract.The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with the daily rate being 300 via an umbrella company.The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working in the public sector, within social housing or a local authority, and preferably be HNC/RICS qualified.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Managing programmes of work & individual projects from inception, through the works process, all the way to completionInvestigating & recommending material specifications and tenders for procurement in line with all association regulation and internal proceduresUndertaking five to six inspections per dayCovering major works inspections, including things like kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors and garagesExpertise required:Experience working within a local authority or social housing environmentIdeally hold a HNCWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday Friday9am-5pm (flexible)Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
