What Youll Do: Plan and deliver inspiring music lessons across various year groups, ensuring they are tailored to the needs and abilities of each student. Teach a wide range of music skills, from vocal and instrumental techniques to music theory and performance. Create an engaging, positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and express themselves through music. Foster a love of music through extracurricular activities such as school concerts, choirs, and music clubs. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow in confidence and ability. Work closely with other staff members to integrate music into the wider school community and curriculum. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best learning experience for all. Support the school in music-related events, including performances and concerts. What Were Looking For: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent). Experience teaching music in a school setting, with a passion for inspiring children to develop their musical talents. A broad understanding of different musical genres and instruments, with the ability to teach a wide range of musical skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage students and foster strong relationships with parents and colleagues. Creativity, energy, and a positive approach to teaching music in a way thats engaging and fun. A collaborative mindset, working well within a team to achieve shared goals. Desirable (but not essential): Experience in leading music performances, choirs, or extracurricular activities. Familiarity with music technology and its integration into the curriculum.
