Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Salary: 40,000 50,000 + Overtime (DOE) + Yearly Bonus Location: Sidcup, Kent We are seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a reputable independent garage based in Sidcup. About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of vehicles. You will also be expected to support and lead junior technicians, providing guidance and mentoring to help them develop their skills. Experience with electric vehicles is essential, as the workshop handles both conventional and EV repairs. Your ability to work independently, uphold high-quality standards, and communicate effectively with the wider team will be key to your success. Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM Rotational Saturdays (details provided during the interview) Overtime opportunities available Annual performance-based bonus Key Duties: Diagnose, service, and repair vehicles of all makes and models Perform maintenance and repair work on electric and hybrid vehicles Lead, supervise, and mentor junior team members Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Maintain a clean and efficient workspace Communicate effectively with the service team and management Key Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience as a Vehicle Technician within the UK UK Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent) EV qualification and hands-on experience with electric vehicles Proven ability to lead and support a team Full UK driving licence with a clean record Own set of tools Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities Professional attitude and commitment to high standards of workmanship If you are a skilled technician with leadership potential and a passion for delivering excellent service, wed love to hear from you.
