JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Great Yarmouth TERM- Permanent SALARY- 35,000 to 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Premier Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Great Yarmouth . This role involves designing mechanical components and assemblies , working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop high-quality products for various industries. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar) Experience in mechanical design , preferably within manufacturing or special-purpose machinery Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and machining processes Ability to produce detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and within a team Good communication skills, both written and verbal The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies Producing 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation Collaborating with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to optimise designs Conducting design reviews and modifications as needed Ensuring designs comply with customer specifications and industry standards Managing multiple projects while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met If you are a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in Great Yarmouth , please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, including your availability and salary expectations.
