1:1 Secondary Tutor Location:Nottingham (NG15) Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced1:1 Secondary Tutorto provide tailored academic support to secondary school students. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the educational journey of young learners, offering personalised tuition across a range of subjects. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students reach their full academic potential. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one tutoring in key secondary school subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science, History, etc.), adjusting your approach to suit the individual needs of each student. Help students improve their understanding of the curriculum, preparing them for exams and coursework. Develop personalised lesson plans that focus on the student's specific areas for improvement. Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure continued academic growth. Build positive and trusting relationships with students to foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Assist students with developing essential study skills, exam techniques, and time management. Requirements: A relevant degree or teaching qualification. Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with secondary school students. A strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum (KS3, GCSE, or A-Level). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students. A patient, flexible, and student-centred approach to teaching.
