Grounds Maintenance Operative 26,589 per annum Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk Permanent,Full Time- 37hrs per week We have an exciting opportunity for aGrounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance team to maintain empty homes, play areas and block communal sites that Saffron manage to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Include: Maintain and prepare Saffrons open spaces using powered hand tools and commercial ride-on mowers. Maintain communal grassed areas, shrub beds, hedges and parking areas including green waste removal. Apply Herbicides/Biocides where necessary to public open spaces. Maintain all open spaces to the recognised standard and specifications using powered hand tools, mowers to industry best practices. Our ideal candidate will have: Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of commercial grounds maintenance (green space) management. Relevant experience of working with commercial powered hand tools (Brush cutters, hedge cutters, blowers) and ride-on mowers Holds a Front Loader qualification and NPTC Units NPTC PA1 + PA6, Woodchipper would advantageous. Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision. Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences. Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps and MS Teams for meetings / training. Full, current, valid driving licence with B + E Trailer entitlement or equivalent. Please note this role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
