About The PostBarnsley Adult Social Care is offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Advanced Practitioner. In this role, you will work alongside the team manager to support a team of staff who assist adults aged 18 and over. The team handles enquiries related to adult social care, provides guidance and signposting when necessary, and considers concerns under the Making Safeguarding Personal initiative to determine if a s42 enquiry is needed. The role also entails partnership working with different agencies including South Yorkshire Police. What You’ll NeedKey skills include: Supporting a team Making complex decisions Carrying out reflective supervision Collaborating with other practitioners and team managers Change management Working at an advanced social work level or in an advanced practitioner role Ensuring prompt decision-making Demonstrating leadership skills and knowledge of adult social care Managing attendance, recruitment, and coaching Knowledge Requirements IncludeLegal frameworks guiding adult social care work Discharge to Assess procedures The Care Act 2014 The Mental Capacity Act 2005 DoLS/LPS regulations The role requires applying legislation accurately and providing correct advice. It also involves a multi-disciplinary approach, considering integrated care systems and collaborating with reablement teams, mental health services, locality teams, hospitals, and the D2a process.
