Behaviour Learning Support Assistant - Supporting Pupils with SEMH Location:Basingstoke Hours:Full-time, Permanent Start Date:As soon as possible (following safer recruitment checks) A small, supportive school in Basingstoke is seeking aBehaviour Learning Support Assistantto support pupils withSocial, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needsand associated behaviours. This school provides afresh startfor pupils, helping them re-engage with education before returning to a mainstream setting. Responsibilities:Supporting students with SEMH needs to re-engage with learning in a structured and nurturing environment. Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in acalm and supportive manner . Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to develop individual support strategies. Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional well-being. Qualifications:Anenergetic and passionateindividual with acalming presence . Previous experienceworking with children in education, sports, or other related settings. Experience supporting young people withmedical conditions, complex backgrounds, or mental health challengesis highly desirable. A commitment tohelping pupils achieve their potential and successfully transition back to mainstream education .
