Job Description

We're opening a new Dental Education Practice in Plymouth City Centre later this year, and we're looking for Dentists to join our team! Initially working in our Plymouth Dental Education Facilities in Derriford and Devonport, you will transfer to our new Dental Education Practice (DEP) in Plymouth City Centre when this opens in Autumn 2025. The DEP will provide an innovative model of care comprising urgent and stabilisation dental care, and general and specialist dentistry delivered alongside placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as trainees undertaking dental foundation training. We have various opportunities including part-time and full-time opportunities available. Salaries are negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. Salaries will be pro-rata for staff working less than full time. Main duties of the jobProvide clinically appropriate, high quality NHS dental treatment to patients, following all relevant standards and guidelines. Maintain PDSE standards of clinical governance, including infection control, patient confidentiality, clinical record keeping, etc. Regularly carry out audits of clinical treatment. Ensure health and safety procedures are observed at all times. Support the work of the whole dental team employed by PDSE. Person SpecificationQualificationsA Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. GDC registration. Performers number required prior to assuming appointment. Broad dental knowledge, with up-to-date knowledge of aspects of general practice within your scope of practice. ExperienceDemonstrable clinical experience in an NHS practice. Active in clinical dental practice. Broad experience in a wide range of treatments.
