This role is pivotal to that - supporting and enabling the company to look at innovative new manufacturing processes, develop the team and sustain the high level of customer service.We are seeking a highly organised and practical Part-Time Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to support our projects, ensuring smooth execution from survey to delivery.Please note that the company are not offering sponsorship opportunities, therefore candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK to apply for this role.About The RoleThe role involves site visits, project management, logistics coordination, and general maintenance responsibilities. You should also be available for occasional weekend work when required. This role is perfect for anengineer seeking a diverse and flexible rolethat involves both office and site-based work.Key Responsibilities Conduct site visits for project surveys, investigate warranty or process issues and gather essential information for new projects. Oversee on-site project management, ensuring correct offloading and delivery of vessels, verifying against drawings and delivery notes. Assist with traffic marshalling, including backing trucks into sites safely. Coordinate and manage vessel installations, working with crane hire services and subcontractors. Review and interpret AutoCAD drawings (ability to draft in AutoCAD is a bonus). Conduct office and warehouse maintenance checks, including health 'safety compliance (fire alarms, emergency lighting, and general safety checks). Ensure company vehicles meet H&S standards through regular inspections. Assist with warehouse operations, parts sales, and stock management. Conduct drawing reviews to ensure accuracy. Perform PAT testing and oversee fixed asset management. Collect and deliver parts as needed. Provide airport drop-off and collection services for engineers. About YouEssential Requirements: HNC/HND or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) - for site work. IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate - for health 'safety compliance. Working at Height qualifications and experience. Confined Space qualifications and experience. Experience with customer service and care. Excellent communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanour. Self-motivated, proactive with a flexible and positive approach. Clean Driving License. Desirable Qualifications AutoCAD Certification. CPCS or NPORS Certification - for working with cranes or traffic marshalling. PAT Testing Qualification - City & Guilds 2377-22 for electrical safety testing. Forklift Truck / Telehandler License. Welding Certification (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606-1) - or proven stainless steel welding experience. First Aid at Work (FAW) - for site safety. Benefits Competitive salary. Company Health Scheme.
