Job overviewUnited Lincolnshire Hospitals are looking to recruit hard-working, enthusiastic individuals to join our team of porters at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. The role of the Porter is to support the smooth day-to-day operational running of our hospital. Main duties of the jobGeneral portering duties will include: Good communication skills Flexible and adaptable approach to prioritise workload Friendly and approachable demeanor Reliable with good time management Ability to work in a physical environment Ability to work individually and as part of a team Awareness of Infection Prevention and Control practices Passionate about delivering a high-quality service Previous portering experience is desirable though full training will be given. Uniform and PPE will be provided. Person specificationSkillsAble to demonstrate an ability to work to deadlines. Able to use initiative to resolve problems and to prioritise workload. Awareness & Knowledge of the Dignity in Care Agenda. Able to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team. Able to demonstrate an understanding of moving and handling techniques. Health and Safety qualifications/training. QualificationsNVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in Customer Care. Previous ExperienceDemonstrate previous experience in a customer-based organisation. Previous NHS experience. Previous porter experience in a busy environment. Previous driving experience. Previous experience of driving electric vehicles.
