The post holder will have thorough training and experience in mechanical services, plant, and equipment, and will be able to work on their own initiative and without supervision. The post holder will demonstrate leadership skills and will be multi-skilled across a range of technical engineering and building skill areas within the maintenance function. Commitment to flexibility and the continuing development of technical knowledge and new skills is essential. Main Duties of the JobAssist and support multi-skilled crafts persons on new and routine maintenance repair tasks. Supervise maintenance assistants and provide guidance and training where required. Carry out routine PPM duties on a range of complex and specialized building and engineering plant and equipment. Use fine tools and specialist equipment, demonstrating knowledge of safe working practices and ensuring the security of all plant equipment and buildings. Assist higher skilled grades as necessary and liaise with subcontractors when required. Drive the works vehicle to complete the duties of the post. Effectively carry out appropriate duties as part of the Trust’s Fire Response, Lift Release, Major Incident, and Emergency On-Call Teams. Detailed Job Description and Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will carry out statutory testing and Planned Preventative Maintenance and repairs on complex Mechanical services and equipment and complete relevant statutory records.
