Full Time.Halo are currently looking for an experienced grade assist to join our award-winning Film and Broadcast Post Production Facility. Working in the halo grade assist team, this role encompasses grade suite support, conforms, VFX pulls, setups, and output from our 3 grade suites, as well as supporting the online assist team when needed. Effective technical and creative assistance to all creative suites attached to halo’s picture post departments is paramount in this role.Key Responsibilities: Complete conform/colourist task using Filmlights Baselight Conforming every project ensuring technical and creative accuracy Communicating and working closely with colorists throughout the project QC incoming media prior grade, such as RAW media and VFX Work alongside Online support team Work Remotely and On-site Work shifts and weekends and late evenings where necessaryExperience/Skills: Experience/Knowledge conforming In Baselight, using supplied conforms materials such as EDLs, AAFs, and XMLs. Completing conforms to professional standards ready for colorists and clients Ability to work calmly and maintain a level head during tight turn-arounds Previous experience in a DI film environment is preferred, and previous assistant work on films in a grade environment would be hugely beneficial Knowledge of HDR processes and experience of HDR workflows including ACES Familiarity with VFX workflows, such as VFX turnovers and conforms Familiarity with Baselight/Avid Round-trip AAF renderless workflows beneficial Excellent camera format knowledge including high-end digital film cameras and their associated 4K/UHD workflow processes Previous post-production experience in a post-production house or MCR environment is a must Excellent communication skills with and supporting creative operators within the finishing department, ensuring they have all the resources needed to successfully complete their work The successful candidate will be expected to understand technical workflows, be able to assist with their development and efficiently instigate them with a high level of attention to detail Communicate successfully with producers to help advise on available resources and technical matters Willingness and enjoyment of supporting and training more junior members of the department Ability to ensure all systems within the finishing department and all related machine rooms are operating to the required technical standards, by reporting any faults or issues to the relevant personMost importantly, be a generally lovely person, who is a team player and eager to learn and develop their career in the wonderful Colour Grading world.Please send CVs tokarl.barnes-dallas@#J-18808-Ljbffr
