Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated teacher to join our schools leadership team as Inclusion Lead and SENCO. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our inclusion strategy, supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and ensuring that all children have access to high-quality education. The ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower all members of the school community to carry the schools vision for inclusion forward is vital. Frogwell Primary School is a caring and highly inclusive one form entry mainstream school with a supportive and welcoming staff team. We pride ourselves on providing a highly nurturing environment that supports all children to be physically, emotionally, mentally and socially healthy. Our school also hosts a Resource Base for pupils with complex learning needs; the successful candidate will work closely with the Resource Base Leader to have strategic oversight of the Base, although the RBL will carry out the majority of the statutory processes such as Annual Reviews for the RB pupils. Ideally we are looking for someone to work 0.7 FTE (3.5 days per week), but we are willing to be flexible and adjust to 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) for the right candidate. The pattern of working hours across the week can also be negotiated as we want to be as flexible as we can to secure the right person. We are looking for someone who: will lead and develop our inclusion strategy will lead, manage and develop the provision for children with SEND will develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEND will ensure that all children, whatever their background, are able to access high quality education and wider opportunities can work collaboratively with parents and external agencies to provide the very best support for all of our children You will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and appropriate SENCO qualifications (either NASENCO or NPQ SEN). Proven experience working with children with special educational needs and their parents/carers Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
