Location: Appleby Magna,(DE12 8AA)Contract Type: PermanentHours: Night Shift - hours will be 22:00 - 06:30Salary: 44,990 per annumBenefits: 30 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits schemeAbout the JobAs Health and Safety Team Leader, youwill effectively embed Unipart Health and Safety policy and procedures across the shift through co-ordinating and monitoring safety related systems. You will also promote an understanding that the effective management of health and safety is an integral part of efficient business and operational management.As part of your key responsibilities youll: Support teams on health and safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment and control measures to ensure a positive culture and high standards are achieved.Understand and promote the use of Unipart Group Health and Safety Policies and proceduresSupport the delivery of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Wellbeing (SHW) Plan and completion of associated actionsArrange and deliver Health and Safety courses, inductions and meetings, producing materials and agendas as requiredFacilitate the reporting and investigation of all Health and Safety incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and recommendations made are delivered to prevent recurrence and improve controlsCoach and mentor leaders to improve their investigation skills and ensure that lessons learned are shared across sections/departmentsUpdate reports, provide statistical summaries of incidents to management and draw attention to significant trends and occurrencesWork alongside cross functionally to facilitate the completion of risk assessments, SOPs, audits and corrective/preventative actions.About YouWed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!
