SEND Teaching Assistant Location: LS28 Contract Type: Ongoing Supply Start Date: ASAP Justteachers is recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEND Support Worker to join one of our partnered primary schools in LS28 . This role is ideal for someone who is committed to providing inclusive support and ensuring all pupils can access their education in a safe and nurturing environment. Job Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across KS1 and KS2. Providing 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual learning and behavioural needs. Assisting the class teacher with differentiated planning and lesson delivery . Encouraging independence and self-confidence in pupils with SEND. Promoting positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation. Working closely with the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to implement and review EHCPs. Requirements: Experience working with children who have SEND , including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and SEMH. Strong knowledge of inclusive classroom practices . A nurturing, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting pupils. Excellent communication and teamwork skills . A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
