Our workplace offers a friendly and supportive environment while upholding the highest professional standards.The RoleLocation: LoughboroughJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £16.00 - £17.50 per hourHours: 38 hours per weekSchedule: Monday to FridayAs a Steel Plater, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling steel plate components to exact specifications. Your key duties will include:Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel plate componentsConstructing parts and assemblies based on engineering drawings with precisionConducting visual inspections to ensure quality and adherence to technical drawingsOperating fabrication machinery, including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cuttersReading and working from engineering drawings and specificationsEnsuring proper alignment of product components using appropriate hand toolsPerforming fabrication tasks such as grinding and burningReviewing blueprints and drawings throughout the fabrication process to ensure accuracyUsing furnaces or hand torches to heat materials for bending or shapingCreating templates and jigs for repetitive fabrication tasks to maintain consistent qualityThe PersonTo be successful in this role, you should have:Strong knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabricationUnderstanding of quality control (QC) inspection processesExperience using drilling machines, rolling machines, and guillotinesPrevious experience working with steel materialsThe ability to interpret and work from technical drawingsProficiency in fabrication techniquesCompetency in using hand and power toolsBenefitsCompany pensionFree on-site parkingHealth & wellbeing programmeLife insurancePrivate medical insuranceSick payIf you have the skills and experience required and are looking to join a growing company with a strong team environment, we would love to hear from you!Apply today!
