Safety & Compliance Manager - TWO LOCATIONS Location:Croydon, ERF AND Runcorn ERFFacility Type: Energy Recovery Facility (ERF)Function: Treats non-recyclable waste and generates electricityMonday to Friday - 37.5 hours per weekStart: ASAPSalary: £50,000 GROSS PA - £58,000 GROSS PA + annual bonus scheme (more benefits given on application)Our Vision is to be the UK’s leading innovator of resource recovery and recycling, transforming waste for a climate-positive future. Key responsibilities: Management and monitoring of Health & Safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work at site level. Maintaining compliance with the company’s management systems and support compliance with environmental permits or licenses.Implementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality led environment with safety at its core, you'll actively monitor, maintain and manage health and safety risks assessments, SSOW and method statements to ensure best practice and prevention of incidents and accidents.Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team, you'll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no compromise approach with regards to health, safety and environmental compliance at all times. What are we looking for?A hands-on safety professional with experience in industrial settings. Experience of an energy from waste facility would be advantageous and preferableRelevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance focussed environmentStrong leadership skills to lead and develop a new team in a start-up scenario with a no compromise approach to health, safety compliance. Able to work with the Management Team to embed a safety and compliance focussed culture within a complex workplaceExperience of permitted/regulated activities and processes, preferably within controlled emissions environmentKnowledge of the energy from waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledgeIOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification (or equivalent)Awareness of the relevant management standards ISO 45001, ISO14001, ISO 9001 and ISO50001Full UK driving licenseAre you a qualified experienced safety compliance professional with experience on an ERF, Waste to energy plant please send me your CV –
