Our client has an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Cost Engineer who is keen to cement their existing expertise in delivering projects to key clients and encouraging the growth of their business.Senior Cost Engineer 9 Month Contract - Inside IR35Warrington – Hybrid Working40 hours per weekKey responsibilities:The purpose of this role is to assist the Project Managers in delivering their projects on time and to budget through attention to detail and the application of the client’s standard processes and best practice techniques. Responsibilities will include:Application of project controls processes and systems utilizationProject set up, close out and reconciliations.Ensuring correct cost allocationProject cost forecastingRevenue and gross margin monitoringEnsure corporate systems are up to date and an accurate reflection of the projectMonitoring of aged debtProject Financial ReviewsPreparation of Client specific monthly reportsPreparation of internal reporting for Operational Project ReviewsAttendance and / or contributions at monthly meetingsBid supportAdditional tasks may include assisting the Project/Programme Manager in:Earned value analysisRisk & opportunity managementProgramme & resource monitoringThe preparation of change control / early warning noticesPreparing / maintaining quality documentsMonitoring key performance indicators as necessaryHere’s What You’ll Need:3+ years previous experience in a similar roleAbility to obtain SC clearanceStrong mathematical backgroundAttention to detail and good numerical skillsGood communication skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamGood knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular; Excel, Word and OutlookPrevious experience of Project Controls tools and Software
