Job DescriptionBank Decontamination TechnicianWe are now inviting applications for the post of Decontamination Technician. This is a Bank role and is based at Ramsay Sterile Services North West, Preston.We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who have already worked within the field of Decontamination of re-usable medical devices for at least 2 years, or who have completed a recognised decontamination course (NVQ/TVQ/Technical Certificate).The successful applicant must have:Relevantexperience as a decontamination technician within a health care settingSound written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as requiredGood computer skills (MS Office package)Flexibility and adaptabilityDemonstrated customer service skillsWillingness to work the occasional night shift once competence is achievedKey responsibilities include:Performing the full decontamination cycle on re-usable medical devices (surgical instruments) to the highest of standards, in line within all Ramsay policies and proceduresParticipate fully in quality control processes ensuring procedures and documentation is completed accurately at all timesIn return we offer:Competitive hourly rates plus enhancementsFree DBSContributory pension schemeExcellent training and development opportunitiesFree parking and subsidised staff restaurant (subject to site facilities)Free uniformAccess to Blue Light CardWhat is a Bank contract:A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week.
