Buyer GroceryNorth LondonUp to £45,000This is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to join a leading retailer based within their North London office.You will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused product ranges that meet both company and team targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth in the core grocery category.Building & maintaining strong relationships with large FMCG suppliersSourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost pricesAnalysing sales figures to plan successful future linesReview levels of own brand stock & ensure adequate levels are available and minimise riskPresenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management teamDealing and resolving escalated supplier queriesAnalyse market trends and competitor activityWorking with own brand development team to ensure new products adhere to department business plansKey requirements for the role;Proven experience as Buyer / Junior Buyer / Buying Manager within a fast paced, FMCG environment preferably Food / Beverage / Non Food groceryAbility to influence and negotiate effectivelyAble to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market.Good level of education, degree is preferableExcellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levelsGood working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projectsExcellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced ExcelIf this sounds like a good fit for you please apply today
