Position: Senior Interior Design Engineer Sector: Body / Chassis engineeringLocation: Hybrid working from Leamington SpaPosition Type: ContractOutside IR35: About the companyI am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who are creating exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy foreverThey are looking for a Senior Interior Design Engineer to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis working 42 hours per week Job DescriptionHaving successfully delivered projects from concept to SOP with established OEMs or Tier 1 in the automotive industry3D CAD & 2D Drawings- Expertise in complex assemblies and detailed 2D/3D designs3D CAD & 2D Drawings- Establish and refine design standards and best practicesGD&T and Tolerancing- Develop advanced tolerance schemes that optimize manufacturability and performanceGD&T and Tolerancing- mastering BS 8888:2020 and ISO GPSMaterial Selection- In-depth understanding of materials for interior production, cost, and complianceMaterial Selection- Able to propose materials and discuss new design solutionsDFMEA & Feasibility Analysis- active participation in DFMEA initiatives and perform comprehensive feasibility analyses to refine designsSurface Design & Styling- Independently manage surface design analysis and change requestsSurface Design & Styling- Tool concept design proposals, moulding directions, sliders and complex tool inserts analysis Why work through Contechs?Contechs is a leading Automotive, Design, Engineering, Technology and Innovation Recruitment Consultancy.
