An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client a leading defence prime, they are now looking to recruit 3 principal hardware engineers, for a 12 month contract.As a contract Hardware Engineer, you will design and develop Hardware and Firmware subsystemsActivities:Define Digital Signal Processing specificationDesign and Develop DSPDefine ADC/DAC specificationDesign and Develop ADC/DAC systemsIntegrate ADC/DAC in the digital processing systemWhat you will doThe Hardware Engineer will work with the support of experts in their field, using world-class facilities to deliver electronic hardware for complex electronic systems that meet challenging future customer requirements.The scope of work will involve technical problem solving along with hardware design and product developmentWhat we need from youWhat you really must have:Due to the nature of our work, any candidate must have 5 years UK residency and SC security clearance.Mixed signal ADC/DAC, FPGA, SoC based design for high performance signal processing, communications and control. AC/DC Power Conversion.Requirements definition, analysis, architecture developmentPCB design, component engineering,Design verification & qualification testing, test & debugging, production support.VPX system design,Experience of fast interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESDC,Model driven engineering using Matlab and Simulink tools,Mentor design tools,A structured approach to electronic design,Electronics test methods and equipmentYou will have either a HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree (Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Applied Physics) or you may just have lots of skills and experience gained through your hard work.It would be nice if you had:Experience within the defence industryIf you would like to be considered please send your CV in the first instance.
