This is your opportunity to have a big impact on some of the most exciting new ideas that are shaping the future of Amazon.The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Key job responsibilitiesWill have the ability to deal and deliver results in an ambiguous environmentDefine and scope new projects or programs to provide solutions to meet evolving business requirementsExecute multiple time-sensitive, medium-scale capital projects to meet business objectives in defined project timeframesMonitor resources required to execute initiatives across the EU network including but not limited to: Launches, Retrofit projects, Post Launch support, Special Projects to maximize asset utilizationManage milestones with schedule commitmentsDrive standardization and consistency within our network while staying within budget constraintsInterface, communicate and partner with cross-functional teams at various levels of managementMonitor and report on the progress of multiple project activities including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or scheduleIs structured and organized, to plan the use of resource and labor to meet deadlines.Communication skills to build relationships and identify with stakeholders across the organization.Is able to use their initiative and make decisions under pressure.Has the ability to seek opportunities to drive year on year savings and performance/process improvementsHas the ability to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.Can work independently to solve problems and drive actions with a variety of stakeholders.A day in the lifeAs a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure smooth running of our operations. Youll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, youll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.Youll encourage and support your colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your teams success.Programme Managers have significant responsibilities, and youll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.About the teamEU TOM Yard Automation team is pursuing the north star vision of an autonomous yard, where the 1st strategic milestone is an autonomous gate house. This will deliver a delightful driver experience by collapsing the driver waiting time at the gate for check in - check out process.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSA degreeExperience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teamsExperience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvementsExperience in program or project managementExperience defining and executing program requirementsKnowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQLExperience in Fulfillment Center/Warehouse operational skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipMaster's degreePMP certificateProficiency with extracting query based data from large data setsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
