You will report into the Head of Product, working closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure data is readily available, accurate, and reliable. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on how the business leverages data to understand its audience, improve its products, and drive business growth.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using appropriate technologies (e.g., Python, SQL, cloud platforms like AWS or GCP)Automate data-related tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortBuild and optimise ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, web analytics)Implement data quality monitoring and alerting to ensure data accuracy and integrity, ensuring optimal performanceCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary infrastructure to gain data visibilityContribute to the development and maintenance of our data warehouse and data lakeContribute to the overall data strategy of The SpectatorRequired Skills and Experience:2+ years of experience in data engineering or a related roleStrong programming skills in Python and SQLExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience with GA4 and GA knowledgeExperience with BigQuery, AWS, or other ETL tools and techniquesExperience with CDP and CEP platforms such as Segment, Rudderstack, Braze etc. to support the marketing teamExperience with data quality monitoring and testingStrong communication and collaboration skillsPassion for data and its potential to drive business valueDesirable Skills and Experience:Experience with real-time data processingExperience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred)Benefits:Salary dependent on experience5% Employer Contribution Pension SchemeGenerous Holiday Allowance with 25 days holiday per calendar year + birthday holiday bonus + Bank Holiday LeaveAll staff receive generous discounts at our Company restaurant, as well as free breakfast and fruitCycle to work schemeInterest free season ticket loanSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustries: IT Services and IT Consulting#J-18808-Ljbffr
