This is an exciting opportunity for mental health/learning disability nurses with experience of mental health to progress their skills working within Crisis, Intensive Home Treatment and CAMHS. Experience of working with young people with emotional or mental health difficulties or working in a mental health urgent care/crisis setting is desirable but not essential.The CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment Team provides a 24/7 community crisis service for young people up to the age of 18 years with 72 hours follow up support. The team also provides intensive intervention, home treatment and in-reach into the CAMHS inpatient/acute hospital setting.Applications may be considered for a band 5-6 development post.The team includes a Clinical Team Leader, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Specialist Nurses/Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, Occupational Therapy, Consultant Psychologist and Healthcare Assistants.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will have strong engagement skills, excellent communication skills and some experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and professions.The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and undertake the crisis assessment of young people, undertake care plans and provide psychological interventions in relation to the young persons presenting need. They will also lead/supervise interventions provided by junior staff.The CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment Team work closely with our CAMHS Inspire Inpatient Service and will support young people whilst in-patient to support early discharge. Therefore, the successful candidate will be provided with additional training regarding in-patient working to support this joint working.Experience of working with young people with emotional or mental health difficulties or working in a mental health urgent care/crisis/intensive setting is essential.The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week (3 to 4 long shifts) and would expect to work flexibly.Working for our organisationWe are an award-winning and CQC rated good health and social care Trust delivering integrated services across Hull, East and North Yorkshire.
