Job Title: Drama Teacher Location: Watford Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Paid to Scale (Competitive) Open to Unqualified Teachers with Relevant Experience About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our team in Watford from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for both qualified teachers and unqualified teachers with relevant experience to teach Drama at [Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and/or Key Stage 5]. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for performing arts, theatre, and the ability to inspire students to express themselves creatively. You will be responsible for delivering engaging drama lessons, facilitating performances, and fostering an environment where students are encouraged to explore their artistic potential. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality Drama lessons to students of varying abilities. Plan and prepare lessons, including developing exciting and creative schemes of work. Inspire students through practical and theoretical aspects of Drama, including acting, directing, and performance techniques. Assess students progress and provide constructive feedback. Support students during rehearsals, performances, and extra-curricular drama activities. Collaborate with other teaching staff to support students' academic and creative development. Contribute to the overall culture of the school through participation in school events and performances. Person Specification: A passion for Drama, theatre, and the performing arts. Previous experience in teaching Drama or a related field is preferred, but not essential. For unqualified teachers: Relevant experience in the performing arts or theatre industry will be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Why Join Us?
