Job description - Mechanical Engineer (39,936 - 42,432 per annum) We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer in a permanent position for our client based in Hixon. Role: As aMechanical Engineer you will be part of the busy maintenance team to perform mechanical maintenance and repair duties in a heavy industrial environment. Taking instruction from the Maintenance Manager, you will be required to undertake planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities. Primary Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities Reactive and PPM work Working in a heavy industrial environment Working on hydraulic, pneumatics, large conveyors, kilns, presses, extruders and more Change bearings, housing & motors Welding and fabricating when required Work on production lines Skills / Experience In possession of a recognised engineering qualification Time served/experienced within a manufacturing, medium to heavy or process driven environment Able to work as part of a team as well as individually Driven, hardworking and someone who wants to get stuck in Previous work experience in heavy industry manufacturing environment such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.
