CLASS 1 SHUNTER DRIVERSUNDAY - THURSDAY: 22:00 - 06:00 20.32 PER HOUR What's in it for me?People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Bridgwater, Somerset.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.What are the benefits?As a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Training provided Immediate starts Day to Day DutiesYour duties as a Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve but not be limited to: Shunting of 45 feet and double deck trailers onto allocated baysOperate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locationsDaily yard checks following site rules, health and safety guidelinesEnsure all cargo is loaded and secured properlyAdhere to traffic laws and regulationsCommunicate effectively with dispatch and customersReport any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to managementAble to cover trunking routes when required Essential SkillsAs a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Minimum of twelve months' experience driving and shunting No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Excellent communication as they will be communicating with both Transport and warehouse, using a radio is essential to the role.
