Placement Broker Department: Broking & Markets Location: Manchester / Redhill / Staines Salary: Starting at 35,000 Reporting to: Director Broking & Markets Insurance Verlingue is fast paced with strong growth plans. You will work closely with the business delivering an excellent service to our Clients, Colleagues and Carriers ensuring that the needs of the role and responsibilities are met. Verlingue have established broking placement team based across Manchester, Redhill and Staines consisting of a team of 8. The role will be based in one of the above offices. The team have close connections with Verlingue London Markets Key Accountabilities General Responsibilities Programme design Meeting the broking requirements of our clients Continuous development of market / product knowledge and intelligence Sharing knowledge of changes in products and insurers appetite within the Group Productive relationship management of Carriers Promote Placement Strategy with approved Carriers Insurer response and analysis management Raise profile of Verlingue within the market New Business Production of Broking presentation (unless we are pre-appointed) Liaising with CD & CA on broking strategy to be employed, ensuring clients needs are met Marketing of client risks in a way that meets client requirements and analysing results with CD Placement of cover Provision of correct Contract Certain terms and policy wording to CA Renewal Business Enhancing production of draft Broking presentation Liaising with CD on broking strategy to be employed Marketing of client risks to alternative Carriers in a way that meets client requirements, working closely with CA who will manage the existing Carrier. Analysing results with CD / CA Placement of cover Provision of correct Contract Certain terms and policy wording to CA Person Specification Cert CII Dip CII - desirable Minimum of 5 years in the insurance industry Excellent working knowledge of the insurance market Excellent negotiation and communication skills that fit the audience Excellent Carrier relationships Technically strong with excellent attention to detail Strong Working knowledge of the Acturis system - desirable A Can-do attitude with the ability to respond to challenge and problem solving Ability to work to under pressure with deadlines and multitask in order to get required work carried out Team player REF-220 744 TPBN1_UKTJ
